IM by TotalCare Europe, a leader in mobility solutions for people with reduced mobility, presents its new iTaka electric wheelchair, an innovative option that combines lightness, durability, and efficiency. This aluminum model is the latest addition to its acclaimed catalog, establishing itself as the lightest aluminum electric wheelchair on the market.
The iTaka electric wheelchair has been designed with comfort and functionality in mind. Weighing only 15.8 kg without the battery, this chair stands out for its high-quality aluminum frame, giving it great strength while maintaining an incredibly lightweight design. Its load capacity reaches 136 kg, ensuring durability and reliability.
The iTaka’s compact design makes it easy to maneuver in tight spaces, thanks to its dimensions of 56.5 cm wide and 75 cm deep with the footrests folded. Furthermore, its reduced turning radius of 90 cm allows for superior maneuverability indoors and outdoors, making it the ideal choice for those who require an agile, high-performance power chair.
Equipped with two 150W motors, the iTaka chair reaches a top speed of 6 km/h. Users can choose between two battery options: 12 Ah or 15 Ah. The two x 15 Ah configuration allows a range of up to 35 km, offering great independence for those who need a mobility solution for extended periods.
One of the iTaka chair’s most notable features is its ease of transport. Thanks to its folding design, it can be reduced to an extremely compact size, with a width of only 32 cm, a depth of 68 cm, and a height of 70 cm. This allows the chair to be easily stored in small spaces or transported comfortably in the trunk of a vehicle.
The iTaka chair also features an intuitive battery system, which includes a button for connecting and disconnecting the battery, as well as the ability to individually activate the left or right batteries according to the user’s needs. The motor disconnect levers allow the motors to be released, transforming the chair into a hybrid option between an electric and a manual chair, making it easier to use in a variety of situations.
“The iTaka electric wheelchair meets the industry’s requirements, which are summarized as a lightweight aluminum electric chair. This new model perfectly meets this industry demand, and we are convinced that it will be very well received by users and orthopedists,” comments Josep A. Gómez, CEO of IM by TotalCare Europe.
With the iTaka chair, IM by TotalCare Europe reaffirms its commitment to innovation and excellence in the design of mobility solutions, offering products that improve the quality of life of those who need them most.
