IM by TotalCare Europe launches the Kittos Magnesium, the first folding electric wheelchair made of magnesium, marking a turning point in the mobility sector. This new model joins the prestigious Kittos family, known for its reliability, innovation, and sales leadership.
The Kittos Magnesium is distinguished by its chassis made entirely of magnesium, an exceptionally light, durable, and modern material, weighing only 16.9 kg without the battery. This structure not only significantly reduces weight but also offers a high load capacity, supporting up to 136 kg without compromising safety or performance.
Magnesium, positioned between aluminum and carbon fiber in both weight and cost, represents the perfect choice for those seeking the ideal balance between lightness, strength, and accessibility. To further reinforce this proposition, the chair incorporates carbon fiber components—such as the seat base, footrest platform, and joystick support—which not only reduce the overall weight but also significantly improve the finish.
The only parts made of aluminum are the front forks, specifically selected for their robustness under riding conditions, contributing to a more stable and safe experience.
The Kittos Magnesium features two 250W motors, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 6 km/h. It also offers two lithium battery versions, 12 Ah and 20 Ah, with a range of up to 25 km with the higher-capacity battery.
Its compact design—58 cm wide, 76 cm deep, and a turning radius of just 120 cm—makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, allowing it to easily maneuver in tight spaces such as doorways, elevators, or narrow hallways.
It also features a quick and easy folding system that reduces it to just 52 cm deep and 78 cm high, making it easy to transport and store even in small trunks.
